An alarm you can feel.

Velvet Alarm wakes you with a tap on your wrist. This page says plainly what the app supports today, and what we have not finished testing, so you can decide before you try it.

What works today

Larger text

In our checks on small and large iPhones, the Alarm, History and Settings screens and the purchase screen work at the largest text sizes.

Apple’s accessibility audit

Apple’s automatic accessibility audit passes on the Alarm, History, Settings and purchase screens. Buttons are at least 44 points, and decorative icons are hidden from VoiceOver.

A tap you can feel

The early wake is a vibration on your wrist. In Settings you pick how the Watch vibrates, from soft taps that grow firmer to strong.

Hear it before the morning

Test sound counts down 3, 2, 1 and rings exactly as loud as your alarm will in the morning, so there are no surprises.

What we have not finished testing

We have not finished testing Velvet Alarm with VoiceOver, Voice Control or Switch Control on a real iPhone and Apple Watch, so we do not claim support for them yet. Our automatic checks also report a few labels with low contrast, so we do not claim full contrast support either. We will update this page as we test more.

Tell us what gets in your way

A button that is hard to hit, text that does not scale, a vibration that is too weak: we want to know and we read every message.
